“Don’t Tell Them That We Know” es la nueva colección de la marca alemana Schaaf by Miriam Schaaf. Concebido como un conjunto de cinco personajes – Dandy, el soldado, el Mutante, El Santo, y el Fugitivo, que se encuentran en una situación apocalíptica. A medida que estos cinco personajes se ven obligados a mantener las pocas pertenencias que poseen directamente en sus cuerpos, … los elementos de esta colección tienen bolsillos secretos o se pueden transformar en mochilas.
Era importante para la diseñadora crear una colección basada en imagen pura, en lugar de una basada en grupos de producto. En lugar de separar la colección en ropa de hombre y mujer, dos trajes han sido creados para cada personaje. Uno que define la función del personaje dentro del grupo, el otro con un loo más informal y cotidiano. Cada personaje y cada traje tiene su propia capacidad y propósito en el contexto del grupo, así como dentro de la colección. Juntos forman un conjunto armónico.

“Don’t Tell Them That We Know” is the newest collection of the German brand Schaaf by Miriam Schaaf. Conceived as a set of five characters – the Dandy, the Soldier, the Mutant, the Saint, and the Escapee, that find themselves in an apocalyptical situation. As these five characters are forced to keep what little belongings they possess directly on their bodies, the items of this collection have secret pockets or can be transformed into backpacks.
It was important for the designer to create a pure image-based collection, rather then one based on product-groups. Instead of separating the collection into women’s and menswear, two outfits have been created for each character. One defining the character’s role within the group, the other with a more casual, everyday look. Each and every character and outfit has its own ability and purpose, within the context of the group, as well as within the collection. Together they form a harmonious entity.
