Allysun Maria Dutra es el apodo de Kittinhawk, su alter ego y nombre de diseño. Kittinhawk es una micro marca couture que sale directamente de las manos de la diseñadora a tu corazón. Ella empenzo a diseñar con este nombre en el verano de 2007 en San Francisco. Después de graduarse en Bellas Artes en San Francisco State University, descubrió su amor por el diseño y textiles. También tomó clases de fotografía y Historia del Arte.
Autodidacta, aprendió a coser y tejer con la intención de hacer ropa interesante. Y el destino la llevó a un camino diferente, … comenzó a crear joyas hechas a mano. La reconstrucción y reciclado se hizo rentable y mágico.
Kittinhawk se estructura en torno a su vida, inspiraciones e ideologías, que se opone a la producción en masa y grandes empresas. Su trabajo es una antítesis a las instituciones destructivas, centrándose en la comunidad y la economía local, la sostenibilidad y más trabajo independiente creativo.

Allysun Maria Dutra trabaja actualmente entre San Francisco y Los Ángeles. Su trabajo es realmente fantástico, y me encanta!

Allysun Maria Dutra is Kittinhawk´s moniker, her alter ego and design name. Kittinhawk is a couture label from the designer´s hands strait to your heart. She began designing under this name during the summer of 2007 in San Francisco. After graduating from Fine Arts at the San Francisco State University, she discovered her love for design and textiles. She also took photography classes and a minor in Art History.
Self-taught sewing and drapping with the intention to make interesting clothes. And destiny took her to a different path, … she began to create handmade jewelry. Reconstructing and recycling became profitable and magical.
Kittinhawk is structured around her life, inspirations and ideologies, she opposes mass production and corporations. Her work is an antithesis to destructive institutions, focusing on community and local economy, sustainability and more creative independent work.
“It is up to us to shape the future and create a system that supports artists, musicians, healers, farmers and everyone else trying to create beauty(…). We are all in this together.”
Allysun Maria Dutra is currently working between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Her work is simply extraordinary, and I love it!
